AIDA YANEZ (Coworking Manager and HandyVisits Co-Founder entrepreneur)
Since I was little I liked languages, especially English and from high school I already knew that I would study something related to English. Finally, I opted for English-French translation and interpreting. During my career I did an Erasmus to France, specifically Lyon, to learn French well and there I also learned a little bit of Portuguese.
When I finished the degree, I took a tourist officer course since I have always been interested in tourism. And after that, HandyVisits came. Elena and I have always had a special connection and like her, I am also from Teror. We are linked by similar studies, concerns, interests and our great friendship for years. That led us to create something together, a company called HandyVisits about dynamic and fun tours on our island to really show the authentic culture to the tourists, and not only tourists!
Another of my passions is dancing, I also like it since I was a kid. In fact, I signed up for the gym exclusively for Zumba although afterwards I ended up very motivated and trying other things that I also enjoy a lot like yoga.
I have many projects in mind and one of that is getting the zumba instructor certification.
Lastly, I’ve always been interested in international environments. That’s why I started collaborating and working in a Coworking Space and recently teaching Spanish as a foreign language.
Elena Castellano (HandyVisits Co-Founder entrepreneur)
My name is Elena Castellano, I’m from a town in Gran Canaria called Teror in Spain. As a child I had a funny experience in a hotel and from that moment I knew that I wanted to learn languages and dedicate myself to tourism.
So I did, I studied a Degree in Tourism at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and participated for a year in an Erasmus program in Germany.
After several work and volunteer experiences I decided to undertake to provide valuable tourist leisure to Gran Canaria. From there emerged Handy Visits, a company of gamified tourist experiences where we enhance Canarian culture and gastronomy through games.
I started to start with 23 years, participating in entrepreneurship training programs with my friend and partner Aída Yánez. We know each other from the institute and share many values that make the business possible.
I can’t stand still, I always want to start something new and learn. I love reading and devour books, healthy cooking has been a discovery and passion in my spare time. I love meeting new people, getting rich from them and forging lasting relationships. Traveling and experiencing new cultures and places is my passion, there I discover myself.
Katrina Kelley (VA and Social Media Manager entrepreneur).
My name is Katrina Kelley but everyone calls me Katie. I started out in the Virtual Assistant world back in 2016 after my daughter had a horrific car accident that left her paralyzed. I needed a way to make a living and be with her every day to help her heal. She was so broken, in body and spirit. We all were.
Since then we have both changed so much, she walks now with the help of braces and crutches. And my agency has blossomed into so much more, plus I’ve jumped in to my love of energy healing!
Welcome to Ten Ten Virtual Assistance, I love supporting female entrepreneurs and helping them grow and be seen in all ways.

I will be teaching women how to start and run their own businesses on a small budget when they are starting out and can’t hire a VA yet.

ANDREA CASTILLO (Architect and clothing designer entrepreneur)
My name is Andrea Castillo, I am from Guatemala and I live in the spectacular Lake Atitlan, where I am currently developing the Mayan Crochet project, which would be a clothing company that uses organic materials, hand woven by women from Lake Atitlan. We seek to combine the textile tradition of Guatemala with crochet, using natural textiles.
Currently we collaborate with more than 10 beautiful women, who have found in Mayan Crochet an alternative source of work and development, on the other hand the garments that we create, they seem to me the purest way to create clothes by hand, and that simply seems incredible as we can weave from scratch a unique piece, which spins a complete story.
I’ve always had a fondness for knitting, for crochet specifically. I have my first pieces of bikinis created by a 12-year-old girl, amorphous and a yarn very similar to wool that looked more like a stuffed animal, it draws a smile on my face to remember the beginnings, somewhere we have to leave, right?
I consider influences very important and to know new places, it gives us a greater perspective, it makes us value what we have and get involved with new elements. I remember that at 19 I traveled to Peru and was fascinated by its textiles and traditions, after that trip I came back with more desire to crochet in Guatemala and my bottom discovery was, that Guatemala was more alive than ever in terms of the tradition of textiles and crafts, incredible potential, I had simply never seen it because I had never left here, but I appreciate and feel so proud when people from all over the world value our textiles and colors.
My dream has been to do something that appeals to me, help the women of the lake and fulfill the satisfaction of those who use our products, with this project I feel this way, totally grateful!

Blanca Rodriguez (Founder and CEO of Metheoras- Ecommerce flip-flops)
«I am Blanca Rodríguez, I studied Advertising and Public Relations from the Complutense University of Madrid but I never got to exercise it, because when I returned from my trip abroad to learn English, working in precarious jobs (which I could access with my level of languages: dishwasher, clothing stores …) … I ended up working at the reception of a Notary and so, in the world of law, I was climbing every step of the year until I finished writing and knowing more than commercial law that of the world of advertising itself.
In between I did a Digital Marketing course to recycle myself and try to change radically in the sector, but the crisis prevented me from any change option … Until little by little and tired of the life I had, I created an ecommerce, returning to the roots of my studies How? Well, I suppose that thanks to my quest for search and change, I armed myself with courage and went on a trip alone to Indonesia. Upon returning I decided to create and manufacture a brand of sandals to change my life completely and take control over it. And what better than shoes to guide you on the right path? The one you want and not the one they impose on you.
And so Metheoras, a very cool summer sandals, that have the particularity of having the memory foam sole, a material that adapts to the tread, that is, they are very comfortable, but also have a simple design with a lot of style … Come on, a perfect shoe to combine in your day to day, while your feet rest.
Metheoras are called, because I believe in what the universe offers us and as if they came from the cosmos, they are summer meteorites that fall from the sky directly at your feet to make your life easier with its memory foam sole and that you can walk .. . Walk a lot, don’t stop until you find what you like, until you’re on your way. They are framed within the categories of well-being and beauty, pursuing a healthy and natural lifestyle, emphasizing travel, adventure and sports such as yoga, surfing and beach volleyball. Come on, Metheoras, it’s completely ME. «
